Description

Parrotdog's L.B. Beer Fresh Hop Sour is a unique and captivating offering that showcases the incredible freshness of New Zealand's Nelson Sauvin hops. This sour ale boasts a half-and-half malt base, featuring a blend of New Zealand ale and pilsner malts, with a touch of Vienna and wheat malts for added complexity. The wort was soured overnight in the kettle using lactobacillus, before being boiled and then steeped over an abundance of freshly picked, wet green Nelson Sauvin hop cones. These hops were flown in on a chartered flight from the Sounds region, ensuring they were as fresh as possible when they reached the brewery. The result is a beer that tantalizes the senses with its vibrant hop aroma and tart, refreshing flavor profile. At 5.8% ABV, this sour ale strikes a perfect balance, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a truly unique and exceptional beer experience.
