Kveik Yeah is a captivating IPA from the talented brewers at Volstead Brewing Company. This special release was created specifically for Marchfest 2020, showcasing a unique blend of flavors. The brewers foraged wild juniper branches from the banks of the Avon River in Christchurch's Red Zone, adding them to the mash in a traditional Norwegian style. The beer was then fermented with Norwegian Kveik yeast at warm temperatures, resulting in a hazy, hoppy delight. The combination of juicy Azacca and Comet hops creates a tropical fruit and dank citrus aroma, with a touch of mango. Intertwined with these vibrant hop notes is a distinct piney, gin-like character from the foraged juniper. At 5.6% ABV, this IPA strikes a harmonious balance, inviting you to explore its complex and captivating flavors.
