Garage Project

Garage Project is a celebrated craft brewery located in Wellington, New Zealand. Founded in 2011, it has earned a reputation for its innovative brewing techniques and diverse range of distinctive beers. The brewery is equipped with a state-of-the-art brewing system that enables precise temperature control and various fermentation options. The brewers experiment with a variety of ingredients, including seasonal fruits, herbs, and spices, to create complex flavor profiles and bold aromas. Garage Project offers a wide range of beers, including classic options like Hop Zombie (an IPA) and Garage Project 8 Wire (a Belgian witbier). They also release seasonal and experimental beers that showcase the brewers' creativity, as well as collaborations with local street food vendors that inspire global cuisine-inspired beers. Limited releases and special projects that explore niche styles or utilize unconventional ingredients are also part of their offerings. Visitors can sample a variety of beers on tap or take them away at the brewery's tasting room in Aro Valley. The tasting room features a communal atmosphere and serves bar snacks and coffee. Garage Project has gained global recognition for its innovative brews, winning numerous awards, including RateBeer's Top 10 Brewer in the World (2018, 2019) and New Zealand Beer Awards' Champion Brewery (2014, 2015, 2016). The brewery is committed to responsible brewing practices, using local ingredients whenever possible and repurposing spent grain as animal feed. Garage Project also participates in a carbon offset program to minimize its environmental impact.
